20 Οκτ 2022 · Locating your air conditioner (AC) drain line is a crucial step in maintaining your AC system and preventing water damage. The drain line is responsible for removing condensate, or the water that forms during the cooling process, away from the unit.

The pipe connected to the exterior of your home is where the drain line ends. In contrast, the capped pipe beside or near your indoor AC unit is the condensate drain access point.
Your air conditioner has a condensate drain line that runs from the indoor unit to the outside of your home. You’ll find a white PVC or copper pipe located near your outdoor unit—this is where the drain line ends.
