  1. Need to request a refund before or after a trip or Experience? First, discuss the amount with your Host in the message thread, and if they agree, go to the Resolution Center to request money. If they don’t agree to the amount within 72 hours, reach out to us for help mediating.

  2. Request a partial or full refund from your Host. If you’d like to request a refund before or after your trip, refund requests of any amount can be handled through our Resolution Center. Just a note, the Resolution Center may not be available for use with some hotel stays.

  3. Refund a guest in the Airbnb app. Tap Reservations and select the reservation you want; Go to Send or request money; Tap Send money and tap Next; Under Select a reason, choose the reason that best describes your refund situation and tap Next; Enter the refund amount, and add a message to your guest; Tap Next and then Send

  4. If you need a refund from your Host for a trip or Experience, message them first, then request one through the Resolution Center. If you’re eligible to get some money back, you’ll get it automatically within 10 days (maybe even sooner).

  5. The Resolution Center lets you request or send money for things related to your Airbnb trip. Guests and Hosts can ask Airbnb for help in reaching agreements.

  6. Requesting a refund. Do you need a refund? Your first step is to message your Host to make it right. If they can’t fix it, they can offer you a partial refund through the Resolution Center.

  7. We recommend discussing any refund amounts with your Host through your Airbnb message thread before submitting a request in the Resolution Centre. However, if you and your Host aren’t able to come to an agreement, you’ll have the option to ask Airbnb for help finding a solution.
