Checked baggage. Travel may be solely on Alaska Airlines but can still be subject to another airline's bag charges. Refer to your travel confirmation to determine which airline's baggage policy applies. When Alaska Airlines baggage policy applies, the following rules and fees are in effect:
29 Αυγ 2024 · Checked baggage with Alaska Airlines is free for flights within the state of Alaska. For all other flights, the first bag is charged at $35 (free for first class), the second bag at $45 (free for first class), and 3+ bags at $150.
25 Ιαν 2024 · The airline restricts passengers to no more than two checked bags per person year-round on all flights to and from Barrow (BRW), Bethel (BET), Dillingham (DLG), Kotzebue (OTZ), King Salmon (AKN), Nome (OME), and Kodiak (ADQ) in Alaska.
21 Φεβ 2024 · Eligible for their first three bags checked for free: Customers ticketed for travel solely within the state of Alaska. Eligible for their first five bags checked for free: Active duty US military personnel with valid military ID (more on that below) Active duty US military dependents with valid military ID and travel orders.
For domestic flights within the United States, the standard checked baggage allowance is one bag with a maximum weight of 50 pounds (23 kilograms) and a maximum linear dimension of 62 inches (length + width + height).
