To obtain a new Alaska Concealed Handgun Permit: Before applying for an ACHP, please read Alaska Statutes 18.65.700 through 18.65.790 and Alaska Regulations 13 AAC 30.010 through 13 AAC 30.900 and ensure you meet all the qualifications and requirements. Your signature on the application affirms you understand these laws.
You must complete and submit an application for replacement of a concealed carry permit (DPS Form 12-299-85). The completed form, together with a photograph taken within 30 days of the application and $25 fee must be submitted in person at an Alaska State Trooper office.
Under Alaska law, a person who is 16 years of age or older, may possess a firearm. A person under 16 years of age must have the consent of a parent or guardian to possess a firearm. You must be at least 21 years of age to apply for a concealed handgun permit.
