The American Historical Review (AHR) is the official publication of the American Historical Association (AHA). The AHA was founded in 1884 and chartered by Congress in 1889 to serve the interests of the entire discipline of history.
26 Απρ 2022 · The AHR publishes as many as one thousand reviews of historical books in any given year, and we will continue to do so. But we will also more regularly review other forms of historical scholarship including digital humanities projects, exhibitions, podcasts, documentary film, novels and poetry.
4 Φεβ 2019 · A Note on Book Reviews. The American Historical Review tries to review as many historiographical monographs as possible. Of the over 2,200–2,500 books a year that we receive, we usually prove able to review slightly more than one-third. The figure for 2018 was 35.1 percent.
