They describe what happened, when, and the context in order to understand a student or patient's behavior and development. While anecdotal records provide insights, they are also subjective and depend on the observer's memory.
This document appears to be an anecdotal record for a student containing personal information such as name, birthdate, parents' names and occupations, religion, language, health history, hobbies, academic strengths and weaknesses, and educational goals.
