The Humane Society's Mountain Shelter shelters nearly 800 animals each year. Staff at HSMS love and nurture these animals daily. We feed them, keep them in a healthy and safe environment, see to their medical needs, and either find their rightful owners or put them up for adoption.
We provide animals for adoption, a humane education program, pet therapy program to our elderly friends, food assistance to needy families, cooperation with meals on wheels project. By resueing our furry friends, we rescue their lives- but they rescue our hearts!
