Various methods have been suggested to avoid the animal use in experimentation. These methods provide an alternative means for the drug and chemical testing, up to some levels. Advantages associated with these methods are, time efficiency, requires less man power, and cost effectiveness.
3 Ιουν 2021 · At the JRC’s Ispra site in Italy, the EU Reference Laboratory for alternatives to animal testing (EURL ECVAM) has been developing, validating and promoting scientific methods to replace animal tests for 30 years.
ECHA works to avoid unnecessary testing on animals and promotes alternative test methods. It acts proactively to ensure that animal testing is used only as a last resort, providing regulatory expertise and investing in worldwide platforms on chemicals data, such as IUCLID and the QSAR Toolbox.
