This includes sources that were summarized, paraphrased, and directly quoted. Essentially, if you included an in-text citation in your paper, that source should also appear in your reference list.

Follow these instructions to set up your APA reference page: Place the section label “References” in bold at the top of the page (centered). Order the references alphabetically. Double-space all text.

A reference list is required in APA Style papers that include works cited in the text. The reference list allows readers to identify and locate the cited works. The following example shows the proper format of an APA Style reference list.
