All program curriculum requirements are required for graduation and must be completed at the USF PA program. Veterans are encouraged to apply, and as all other applicants, must meet all the prerequisites for admissions.
The Charleston Southern University Physician Assistant Program utilizes the Centralized Application Service for Physician Assistants (CASPA) for application processing. All applications and supporting documents must be submitted directly to CASPA.
Admission Requirements: To qualify for admission you must have an undergraduate degree in any field and an overall science GPA of at least 3.0. The college also requires you to have completed pre-requisite courses in human anatomy, physiology, microbiology, general chemistry, statistics & medical terminology.
The minimum requirement for both cumulative and science GPAs is 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale). A minimum of 500 hours of direct patient care experience is required. The program prerequisite requirements must be met for applications to be reviewed and scored.
