Cydia is an open source software installer created by saurik that uses the Debian APT system for package management. It is found in nearly every mainstream jailbreak tool from iPhone OS 2.0 to iOS 14.8.1 (with the notable exception of Chimera, Odyssey and Taurine, which use Sileo as their main package manager).
Cydia now uses APT 1.14~b. This is a major update to the core package management logic used by Cydia. This library, which is shared with Linux distributions such as Debian and Ubuntu, is an industry standard, which Cydia has been excited to share.
