This paper examines the work of a sample of contemporary Arab prose poets whose poetic investments exceed the linguistic parameters of previous generations.
We’re working on a special project collecting previously unpublished translations of Arabic poetry. We’re calling on Arabic–English translators to submit poetry by groundbreaking poets who write on an array of themes that need not necessarily be political.
Fully searchable texts of Arabic poetry in TEI/XML are provided with analytical data on authors, chronological periodisation, literary classification, geographical specification and semantic categorisation.
