Abdulla Ahmed Al Moosa, an Emirati Civil Engineer, established A. A. Al Moosa Enterprise (ARENCO Group) in 1971, when he set up the first national Architectural Design, Engineering and Consultancy practice in Dubai, UAE.
In 1975 ARENCO began its journey as family concern to do local trading buiseness. Slowly and steadily the scope of buiseness of ARENCO was expanded to start import, marketing and distribution of consumer goods & export handycrafts & other non-traditional products mostly to Europe & Japan.
Arenco, founded in 1877, was incorporated in Svenska Tändsticks AB (STAB) in 1917 with a diversified product range covering, apart from match machinery, also packaging and fish processing machines. The quality of the products has always been considered to be in top position.
