Renew the license prior to its expiration. Whether the Department of Insurance, as a courtesy, notifies a licensee of an upcoming license expiration, the licensee is solely responsible for fulfilling all license renewal requirements prior to the license expiration. General Requirements. Arizona Major Lines Licensed Insurance Agents are required to complete 48 credits of continuing education every 4 years prior to their license expiration date. Of the 48 Credits required, 6 credits must be done in the category of Ethics Training.
