The Arlington County Police Department is sharing information on common scams circulating in Arlington County and ways you can spot, avoid, and report them.

ACPD is raising awareness about these scams and ways the public can spot and avoid them to keep their personal information and finances safe.
The Arlington County Police Department has established a list of guidelines for reporting financial crimes, while also providing important information on education and prevention methods. These guidelines cover topics such as fraud, scams, and identity theft.
15 Δεκ 2023 · Scammers can add a few fake “positive reviews” and a fake street address – or even copy the actual street address of an unsuspecting business – and then sit back and wait for the money to roll in. The unsuspecting consumer believes the website and address is a “real” business and submits an online payment or wire transfer.
