Hello r/army, I arrived at Ft. Benning on July 2, and here we are 22ish weeks later after completing the first cycle of the new Infantry OSUT. Here is what we did and some of my thoughts after its all said and done. First, I'll give some background on our company and our command.

20 Νοε 2018 · First 30-40% of OSUT you will be sleep deprived for most of it due to all the physical activity during the day. Think for a min, doing your run, situps and pushups at home then having to drop for pushups like once an hour. Then having to do obstacle courses, close combat drills and the like.
22 Αυγ 2019 · While foundations of marksmanship, physical fitness and discipline remain, OSUT now certifies, rather than familiarizes, infantry soldiers in combat lifesaver skills, individual day and night land navigation, Army Basic Combatives (Level 1) and urban marksmanship.
