18 Φεβ 2011 · While working on my Sportage I found the Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKPS), so I show a couple of pictures I took of its location, in case it could be useful to someone. This is a picture of the engine compartment with the exhaust manifold removed; the Crankshaft Position Sensor is on the right, on the transmission housing.

If there is no CKPS signal input, the engine may stop because of CKPS signal missing. This sensor is installed in ladder frame and generates alternating current by magnetic flux field which is made by the sensor and the target wheel when the engine rotates.
