Stations and apparatus. The Atlanta Fire Rescue Department currently operates out of 34 fire stations, located throughout the city of Atlanta, organized into 7 Battalions, including an Airport Battalion commanding 5 Fire Stations that serve the Hartsfield-Jackson Airport.
Like most Atlanta rigs since the 1970's, this one carried 500 gallons. About the only exceptions are the 1972 ALF 1000/1000/100F already shown by Steve, the twin 1976 Mack CF 1000/1000/100F pumpers of Engines 1 and 4, and the 1982 Mack CF 1000/1000/100F that ran as Yellow 5.
This is one of two 1973 Mack CF 75' Aerialscopes purchased by Atlanta. Originally assigned to Ladder 21, it was heavily damaged in an MVA and rebuilt. When Ladder 21 got their new ALF TDA in 1984, this rig was reassigned to Ladder 8, where it served until replaced in 1988.
