Collections Enforcement. The Attorney General's office has created a quick, safe, and reliable service that allows citizens to pay outstanding debts to the State of Ohio online. Under Ohio law, state agencies turn over their outstanding accounts to the Attorney General's office for collection.
Under Ohio Revised Code section 131.02, all delinquent state debt is collected by the Attorney General. Why do I owe this debt, or, what is this about? You should have received a collection notice or letter from a state agency or college.

During the collection of state tax claims for sales and use, employer withholding or motor fuel tax, the Attorney General’s Collection Enforcement division and its special counsel may become aware of information that could form the basis of a responsible party assessment.
Note: If you are paying multiple Attorney General accounts, despite the fact you will only receive one confirmation number, your bank will process your payment as multiple transactions.
