Billings Memorial Library is an academic library of the University of Vermont, located in Burlington, Vermont. Built in 1883, it was designed by American architect Henry Hobson Richardson [1] to resemble the Winn Library in Woburn, Massachusetts.
Bailey-Howe Library. The university's main library displays changing attitudes toward modernism. Whittier's Bailey unit sits on axis with the Fleming Museum at the south end of the university's interior quadrangle, though its entrance ignores the museum to address Main Street instead.
5 Νοε 2018 · For decades his name adorned the university library, the Guy W. Bailey/David W. Howe Memorial Library, often called simply the Bailey/Howe Library. But Bailey was also a proponent of eugenics. That legacy inspired students and faculty to push to drop his name from the library.
