11 Νοε 2016 · Kit Building - New Balsa USA Smoothie XL Build - Looks great. I just finished gluing up the fuselage plywood framing. I'll get the balsa sides on later tonight and then get cracking on getting the fuselage bulkheads (formers) in place tomorrow.

29 Οκτ 2016 · Kit Building - New Balsa USA Smoothie XL Build - Hello all, I have been building Warbirds for over 50 years. I decide I needed a break from Heavy Metal with retracts. The new rendition of Balsa USA's Smoothie caught my eye and I was hooked.
The Manual they give you in the new kit is first class and better than the 2 pages of instructions included with the original. Will be spending a day or two reading the instructions, studying the plans, and figuring out how to convert it to electric and still keep it around 4 lbs.
