Air sungai yang terus meluap berbelok masuk ke areal permukiman. Banjir pertama beberapa waktu lalu menggenangi 12 desa di lima kecamatan. Sebanyak 662 rumah rusak berat, 981 unit rumah rusak ringan, dan 194 hektare areal pertanian hancur. Musibah itu juga mengakibatkan satu orang tewas.

In the year 2005, 2010, as well as 2011 severe floods stroked Perlis State, which is situated in the northern part of Peninsula Malaysia. The floods caused tremendous damages to properties and lives as a whole. Flood is basically one of the weather related natural catastrophes.
