There are two known models of the BF-888S. Running the Version 1.05 software above, the Older version is capable of being set to either the 400-470MHz or 470-490MHz range and programmed accordingly. The Newer version can only be set to the 400-470MHz range, however, it includes a Beat Shift or Scrambler function.

11 Μαΐ 2012 · You can extend the transmit and receive range of the Baofegn equipment without software modifications, but it requires a modicum of effort. The following steps will expand the range to 137 to 520 MHz continuous (no gaps) on transmit and 24 to about 1500 MHz on receive.

It’s used for programming a wide range of amateur radios of different makes and models, and in multiple formats and data sources. It offers an easy to use interface compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux PC’s.
