Chinato is essentially a sweet vermouth-like aromatized wine with quinine. Bonal, Byrrh, or Dubonnet might work. Chinato's body depends on the wine base with Barolo Chinatos being some of the bigger. Without knowing which chinato, it's hard to exactly match it.

Chinato is made by infusing quinine (the bark from the South American cinchona tree), gentian, rhubarb root, cinnamon, coriander, orange peels, cloves, cardamom seeds, iris flowers, mint, vanilla and other such aromatic botanicals (sometimes over 30) in grape or sugar beet-based neutral alcohol.
