My personal review of selling a car on the Bring-A-Trailer (BaT) Auction. Positives: • Cars seem to be selling for higher than predicted on the Miata.net site. • They are selective on the cars they auction. • They do a good job of “presenting” the car. • It is a true auction.
1 Ιαν 2024 · The car is being offered at no reserve on Bring a Trailer, and the current bid has climbed to $30,000 – a far cry from the $3,176.32 on the original bill of sale that included $118.40 for a heater, $31.60 for whitewall tires, and $11.85 for windshield washers.
I am weary to list with no reserve because my mother-in-law really needs the money. Does BaT get final say in the reserve price? What is the benefit of auctioning with no reserve? Is the shop lying to me when they say the car has to be auction with no reserve? Thanks for your advice!
