23 Σεπ 2014 · If you are writing a batch file and you don't want to continue until somebody presses a key, you can do it really easy with the timeout command. For instance, using the following on the command prompt will pause the terminal for 10 seconds unless you press a key: timeout /t 10.
One way is to leave a raw_input () at the end so the script waits for you to press enter before it terminates. The advantage of using raw_input () instead of msvcrt.* stuff is that the former is a part of standard Python (i.e. absolutely cross-platform).
