Depending on the task, I usually go with - Monk robes, a holy book (preferably Zamorak), climbing boots, rune gloves/expeditious bracelet to speed up task, ardougne cloak, Lumby ring, glory, slayer helm and d scimmy. You can do both. Completing a hard clue? Just bring 3 items and thank your pker for the teleport. Opening 10 larrans keys? You’ll get like >1m in loot easily so it’s worth gearing up in some beefy gear to survive, and hover logout.

My current slayer task is 44 bears. Now I'm not too sure which location is best for doing this task as I can only find them in packs of..….
