The BJCP Scoresheet Guide is a rubric for BJCP Judging Exam graders and a training tool for current and aspiring judges. While originally developed for the BJCP Beer Judging Exam, the methodology applies to each type of judging exam.
First, it is intended to help you become a better beer judge by teaching you how to judge beer and how to fill out scoresheets in BJCP sanctioned competitions. Second, it is intended to help you apply your judging experience to get a Recognized or better score (60% or better) on the BJCP Tasting Exam.
The BJCP Style Guidelines are maintained by the BJCP Style Guidelines Committee, currently chaired by BJCP President Emeritus Gordon Strong. This page provides links to download or access our style guidelines in various formats.
