Submit Records Request for a Traffic Crash Report. NOTE: The Patrol is currently experiencing a backlog of crash reports. Please submit your request after 10 days; however, you may not receive your report for an extended period of time.
The Patrol Records Division serves as a data repository of statewide motor vehicle accident reports, convictions of alcohol and drug-related traffic offenses, dispositions on Missouri State Highway Patrol traffic arrests, and assignment of unique numbers for inclusion on the Uniform Citation (UC).
Please Note: The fee for a copy of a Motor Vehicle Accident Report or a Police Incident Report is $10.00 (maximum 3 pages). Additional copies are $2.00 per page. If you also request any photos taken, the photo fee is $4.25 per photo.

Crash reports starting 07-01-2019 through present are available. Only parties with specific interest in the crash (drivers, vehicle owners, insurance companies) will be able to access the crash report and that party must possess the incident number issued by the Blue Springs Police Department.
In 2020 there were 987 persons killed in traffic crashes in the State of Missouri, 106 (12%) more than 2019. There was a decrease of about 16.3% in total crashes statewide compared to 2019. Alcohol/drugs and speeding are the two highest Probable Contributing Circumstance in fatal crashes.
