23 Ιουν 2024 · Pellets in the 10”-20” middle annular ring, Improved Cylinder, Average – 99. But here’s where it gets interesting. Most people would suggest that there should be MORE pellets in that outer ring with the Modified choke and the Improved Cylinder choke, than with the Full choke.
For longer ranges, I favor a tighter constriction, finding the best choke tube for trap shooting to often be a modified to full choke. Conversely, for closer shots, an open pattern afforded by an improved-cylinder is ample.

1 Μαρ 2019 · Trap shooting such as DTL or ABT would be similar as you have distant edge on clays and therefore require significantly more energy and therefore a larger pellet is required. Cartridges such as Gamebore Black Gold 7.5 would do the job well.
In my experience most trap shooters prefer to use an Improved Modified choke, because the average distance of your target when shot is about 30 yards. If you’re shooting at targets that are close to you—like in skeet shooting—then a looser choke like an Improved Cylinder, or the obviously named Skeet choke is going to be a good choice.
