2 Αυγ 2013 · I always enjoy hearing choke preferences from shooters with D Singles averages. Big Leo says FULL. There are differences in pattern quality with chokes marked MOD. I prefer smoke with a Wilkinson .024 choke but broke my highest Singles average (98.28) with factory FULL (.034).
7 Δεκ 2015 · Singles from the 16 yard line: start off practicing with your IM choke and use Mod for tournaments. If you find that you shoot better scores with the IM choke then practice with the Full choke and use the IM for tournaments. Handicap from the 20 yard line IM. Doubles: IC bottom barrel 1st shot; IM top barrel 2nd shot.
17 Αυγ 2019 · Most trapshooters will do as well with a Mod choke from the 16 as with a Full. A "quick" shooter will smoke the same targets with a Mod as with a Full. A slow shooter may need a tighter choke, since the birds will be further away when they pull the trigger.
What Choke Should I Buy? American Skeet - Ü0 (2 U0 for over/under guns) Trap: American Trap, Doubles - Ü1/Ü2. Singles: Ü2 – 16 yard line. Ü3 – for Handicap (17 - 27 yard line) Sporting Clays - typically a Ü0/Ü1, Ü1/Ü2 or Ü2/Ü2 combo. Ü0/Ü1 – for close targets inside 30 yards. Ü1/Ü2 – for “normal courses” out to 40 yards.
2 Αυγ 2022 · A full choke will push the bird as it breaks telling you if you’re behind, shooting high etc. Most targets are broke 20 yds past the house. 16 yard line plus 20 yds past the house is a long shot. Many new shooters wait to long and the target is 50-60 yards away and dropping.
Modified Choke: A good all-around choke that provides a balance between range and pattern density. For most shooting situations. Full Choke: The most restricted choke, providing the tightest shot pattern. For long-range shots, or when shooting at targets that are stationary.
