Owing to the fact you are QRP, consider the higher efficiency antenna systems combined with ease of use and easy install, free standing and all bands is a good bonus. I’d suggest learning about something like the DXV Vertical dipole by Greyline Performance combined with an LDG RT-100 remote tuner (fed over the feedline coax) that doesn’t ...
29 Ιουλ 2021 · The Discovery TX-500 was designed from the ground up to be a rugged, weather-resistant portable radio that could operate in challenging environments (think the extremes of Russia where it’s manufactured).
I used end-fed halfwave antennas for QRP portable with mixed success. They are good if you only have one support. I'm now using a 44ft doublet with a homebrew Z-match for multiband use, or a 20m dipole if I only take along the DSW20.
Portable QRP Antennas Now that hams have gotten over the stigma of end fed half waves, they're the go-to antenna for field work. Multiband versions like the PAR and now ARRL end feds are compact, easy to deploy and work great.
A factor in my choice of temporary, portable antennas is that I don't want to carry and hang coax, and I don't want to have to lay down a radial field. So, I tend to use antennas that can be fed at or near the ground, and that have high impedance feedpoints, such as an EFHW, half-square, or bobtail.
A resonant 40 meter dipole in a ruggedized, ultra-compact, ultra-light form. designed for demanding QRP and QRP portable radio operations. The antenna requires no assembly, no tuner, and accepts a PL-259 connector. resonant dipole can help you make the most of low power transmitting without. additional weight and space.
Buddistick Pro is a great QRP portable/backpacking antenna. There’s lots of YouTube videos on it if you want to check it out. There’s also a huge 3,000+ user community for it on FaceBook.
