The best is 100% Gith for the Medium Armor prof. Unless you specifically want to wear something other than medium armor, go with Gith. Their lack of darkvision can be made up by invocations, items, or even spells. If you want to play pure caster warlock, still go with Gith for misty step.

Tieflings, the red ones, are pretty cool as an option. Given the warlock's limited spell slots, that fire rebuke spell is pretty nice to have, but also with that Darkness spell + the eldritch invocation Devll's sight. From the wiki on darkness:
