Cain and Seth. Genesis names three children of Adam and Eve, Cain, Abel and Seth. A genealogy tracing the descendants of Cain is given in Genesis 4, while the line from Seth down to Noah appears in Genesis 5.
Cain's genealogy found in Genesis 4 is the first of at least twenty-four found in the Bible! Twenty-two of these are recorded in the Old Testament, such as those for Japheth (Genesis 10:1 - 5), Ham (verses 6 - 20), Shem (verses 22 - 31), Abraham (Genesis 25:1 - 4, 12 - 18) and others.
These genealogical charts are based on the Hebrew text of the book of Genesis. The Year of birth and Year of death columns assume every generation between Adam and Abram was recorded in the Bible.
