Bilbo Baggins (Westron: Bilba Labingi) is the title character and protagonist of J. R. R. Tolkien 's 1937 novel The Hobbit, a supporting character in The Lord of the Rings, and the fictional narrator (along with Frodo Baggins) of many of Tolkien's Middle-earth writings.
28 Απρ 2020 · Bilbo adopted Frodo when Frodo’s parents died. As a result, Frodo became the only heir of Bilbo’s wealth. Frodo shared the same birthday with Bilbo. By the time of Bilbo’s Farewell Party, Bilbo was turning 111 while Frodo was turning 33. Bilbo left Bag End and the ring to Frodo before he left for Rivendell.
Bilbo Baggins was a hobbit of the Shire in the Third Age. He was hired by Gandalf to aid Thorin and Company in the Quest of Erebor, over the course of which he became a bearer of the One Ring and fought in the Battle of Five Armies.
Frodo is a hobbit of the Shire who inherits the One Ring from his cousin Bilbo Baggins, described familiarly as "uncle", and undertakes the quest to destroy it in the fires of Mount Doom in Mordor. He is mentioned in Tolkien's posthumously published works, The Silmarillion and Unfinished Tales.
