William Eugene McEuen (1941 – September 24, 2020) was a film producer and record producer famous for working with Steve Martin and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. His younger brother is John McEuen, banjo player and founding member of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.
History. John McEuen 's banjo and electric fiddle displayed alongside a copy of Will the Circle Be Unbroken at the Musical Instrument Museum (Phoenix). The album's title comes from a song by Ada R. Habershon (re-arranged by A. P. Carter) and reflects how the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band was trying to tie together two generations of musicians.
