I used it for a while. I've heard mixed reviews about it. My only complaint is that it left me feeling greasy, but I gave combo skin. For what it is, I think it's a decent and inexpensive face oil.
I'm on my second bottle of bio-oil and it actually has helped with my acne scars. Not significant improvement, but I don't break out as often as I used to. I've dealt with cystic acne for years and this is one of the few face oils that's helped reduced pimples.

No, oil is not something that will get worse before it gets better— it will just keep getting worse. Bio oil is more or less a scam, there’s nothing special about it and it will definitely not lighten dark spots.
