27 Φεβ 2023 · iPod shuffle not recognized by iTunes My iPod shuffle is not recognized by iTunes on my Mac. While it shows up under locations as an external drive labeled as an iPod, the folder is empty and there is no sign of any potential actions. Additionally, it is not recognized at all in iTunes.
17 Δεκ 2018 · I can't get my ipod shuffle to show up in itunes. It currently doesn't have any music on it, so I need itunes to recognize it so I can use it... It appears in the system profiler under usb, just not in itunes.
3 Νοε 2014 · I have a 1st gen iPod shuffle, and it works fine with iTunes 12. (The clip-on 2nd gen shuffle also works.) It is recognized properly and shows up on the "device button," by itself and with other devices connected at the same time. OS X 10.10 on a Mac mini with USB 2.0 ports.
3 Ιουλ 2019 · Perhaps your iPod, iPad, or iPhone doesn’t show up in iTunes because the software is corrupt. This can happen if a preference is damaged or a process has malfunctioned in the background. The easiest solution is to remove and reinstall iTunes altogether.
I was having a ton of trouble syncing my ipod because it would almost never show up in itunes, windows could open it just fine but itunes wouldn't. The version of itunes on the windows store does not seem to install the "Apple mobile device service" which I believe lets itunes actually see the ipod.
