29 Αυγ 2021 · I guess your error is 1D2404 (no zero at the end). Check the thermostat with ignition on, if it gets 12V on one of its pins (ground is controlled by the engine control). If not, check wiring, if yes, replace thermostat.
25 Ιουν 2015 · I test drove it the other day and here's the symptom that I noticed: when the engine temp has gone over the quarter mark, the radiator fan would kick in at what seemed like max rpm. From inside the car I could feel vibration on the steering wheel when the fan kicked in.
2 Απρ 2022 · Hey everyone, I recently got this check engine light and I went to check the codes and "1D2404 map-controlled thermostat, control cable disruption" came up. Does anyone know how to fix this problem and what is causing it?
1D2404 - Characteristic map thermostat, actuation: Line disconnection. During diagnosis the coolant may be found to be discolored. CAUSE. Insulation on the wiring for the map activation thermostat (heating element) may be damaged. Exposed wiring may allow coolant to enter the harness. This may cause damage to the heating element. CORRECTION.
The Service Engine Soon light is on with one or more of the following fault codes: 1D2009 - characteristic map thermostat: clamped closed. 10921B - characteristic map thermostat, stroke sensor: short circuit to ground. 1D2008 - characteristic map thermostat: clamped open. 1D2401 - characteristic map thermostat, actuation: short circuit to B+.

The following fault codes may be stored in the DME: 1D2401 - Characteristic map thermostat, actuation: Short circuit to B+. 1D2402 - Characteristic map thermostat, actuation: Short circuit to ground.
