Bohrium, symbol Bh, has a Simple Hexagonal structure and color. Bohrium is a Transition Metal element. It is part of group 7 (manganese family). Know everything about Bohrium Facts, Physical Properties, Chemical Properties, Electronic configuration, Atomic and Crystal Structure.
Bohrium is a synthetic radioactive element and a member of the transuranic group of elements. Element 107 was first synthesized in 1976 by a team of Soviet scientists and its existence was confirmed by West German physicists.
Bohrium is the fifth member of the 6d series of transition metals and the heaviest member of group 7 in the periodic table, below manganese, technetium and rhenium. All the members of the group readily portray their group oxidation state of +7 and the state becomes more stable as the group is descended.
Bohrium is a synthetic element so its existence was discovered by two groups. First time in 1976 a team led by Yuri Oganessian (Russia), bombarded bismuth-209 and with chromium-54 and produced an isotope of a novel element that has an atomic mass of 261 and a half-life of around 2 millisecond.
6 Μαρ 2024 · Bohrium is a synthetic transition metal with an atomic number of 107 and is represented by the symbol ‘Bh’ in the periodic table. It is silvery in appearance and belongs to the d-block of period 7 of the periodic table. Bohrium was the fourth transactinide (super-heavy) element identified.
