4 Μαρ 2021 · According to California Penal Code 148.1, any person that reports in any way that a bomb or another explosive has been or will be placed in a public or private place, knowing the report is false, is guilty of a misdemeanor. The code also makes it illegal to report a false bomb threat to someone else in order to scare them.
Use the Checklist form to record information regarding the bomb threat during the bomb threat call. Concentrate on what the caller is saying, as anything may be important. Try to keep the caller talking by asking questions to obtain as much information as possible.
Report all bomb threats immediately to 911. Most threats are made by telephone. If you receive a bomb threat telephone call: Remain calm. Keep the caller on the line as long as possible. Write down the telephone number of the incoming call if it is displayed on the telephone. Use this form to document the call.
