16 Φεβ 2015 · I own two rifles built by Jim Borden. Just like Bigngreen said, they really are top of the line. Both of my rifles are proven 1/4moa shooters, one is a 300 win mag the other is a 338 RUM. They are both scary accurate. I also think Jim Borden is among the best gunsmiths out there.

21 Σεπ 2021 · Accuracy is a Borden hallmark, as you'd expect from a benchrest shooter who set some 10 world records. Borden rifles have been used by others to set more than 100 records. Precision tolerances, high-quality barrels, stocks, pillar bedding, and "blueprinted" action all go into a Borden.
22 Απρ 2015 · I have two Borden rifles, a Timberline Magnum (300 RUM) and Alpine Magnum (270 WSM) and two Tikka T-3's (.204 and 270 win). As far as 'smooth' or 'slick', those are relative terms. The Tikka is incredibly smooth (both of them) the bolt will easily slide back and forth by it's own weight.
1 Μαΐ 2021 · Jim has built me two rifles - a 20VT on a BR (right bolt, left load, right eject), and a 6.5x47 on a BRL (right bolt, left load, drop port) and they are very very nice rifles. His lead times have always been reasonable too.
13 Μαΐ 2012 · Before I take the plunge on a full custom rifle from Borden in 300 WSM, are there any negatives in owning or dealing with their products?
8 Αυγ 2017 · If you're spending that money, you should be looking at Impact 737R and Lone Peak Fuzion for two lug actions. They have much better reputations for reliability. The Defiance Rebel seems like it doesn't even have an integral scope base which for the price seems kind of odd.
8 Οκτ 2009 · Figured I would throw a post up with info on the new Borden Accuracy Bigfoot actions. They are optimized for the big lapua/norma magnum cases. They are the straightest actions Ive seen so far and the best option for the norma/norma improved/ and lapua cases.
