You will need a plugin to view the live video. FireFox works well and will prompt you on the plugin. IE is a bit harder as you have to install a ActiveX control, then choose a ROV feed and open in a new window.
Now that the top kill operation is underway, BP has switched to a different ROV camera for its live feed. (See below) While some of the on-screen information is different, the date and time are still there. Across the top is a compass heading showing the direction of the view.
