Specifically looking at the Green Lightening for a 12 gauge. I'm not trying to start a debate on shotgun, rifle, pistol, spray.

The Black Magic Magnum is a 602-grain slug that carries 3,000 ft.-lbs. of energy at 1500 fps, while the 495-grain DDupleks leaves the muzzle at 1410 fps with 2,180 ft.-lbs. of energy.
1 Μαρ 2022 · For a bear/protection gun the 12 gauge slug gun is pretty well acknowledged as the choice in North America. Black or Brown bears will fall to the 12 gauge Brenneke 3" Black Magic. The recoil is bad/terrible, but the adrenaline push will get you through it. This is a bear gun.
26 Απρ 2006 · The Brenneke KO grouped well in my double barrel slug gun at 50 yards... (although Brenneke Black Magic or Fiocchi Aero Slug grouped evcen BETTER)...and the KO Brenneke did NOT slug my shoulder anywhere near what the Rem Sluggers did. I think the Remington Sluggers should be renamed: Slug-The-Sh_T-Out-Of-Your-Shoulder Slugs...
15 Ιουν 2007 · The brenneke slugs give almost twice the penetration of the foster slugs in my experience, and work quite well as a defense load. Of course they are not the best hunting round because of rande limitations.
