21 Απρ 2022 · Porter Robinson - do-re-mi-fa-so-la-ti-do lyrics (English) + French translation: Il y a tant de choses, que je veux dire, alors / Do-re-mi-fa-so-la-ti-d
Tonic solfa notation, also called Solfége, is a system of learning music where the tones are called do, re, mi, fa, so, la, ti. A hand gesture is assigned to each syllable. “Do” can be fixed to C4 (middle C) or moving and then always represent the base note (tonic) of each scale.
Mi sounds like “Mee”, La sounds like “Lah” and Ti sounds like “Tee”. Me sounds like “May”, Le sound like “Lay”, and Te sounds like “Tay”. The Solfege system for naming pitches is used extensively throughout Piano-ology as an effective way to integrate music theory and ear training.
Solmization is a mnemonic system in which a distinct syllable is attributed to each note of a musical scale. Various forms of solmization are in use and have been used throughout the world, but solfège is the most common convention in countries of Western culture.
