I bought a used XBox 360 drive with a broken DVD-drive. When I try to play any game, it says "Play DVD" on the launchboard. When I hit A, it gives me a white error screen (pics to come).
With an RGH you cannot play disc backups, but you can "find" and install games to your hard drive (and modify them even further with plugins and the same ISO mods that the flashed drive would allow), even ones you own from a disc and then play them without any disc in the drive at all.

3 Μαΐ 2011 · If you simply replace a faulty drive with a working one, the console will not read game discs, only DVDs and CDs. You need to either repair the original drive, or swap it's controller board with a drive of the same model.
