The City of Santa Ana Planning and Building Agency (PBA) is pleased to announce that Planning and Building project plans may now be submitted online for electronic plan (E-Plan) review. Below are the types of project plans being accepted for online submittal by each Division.

For plan checking, encroachment permitting, mapping and permit building release, please click below to schedule an appointment and select PWA Development Engineering. We are open for in-person visits at the Public Works counter on the first floor of City Hall by appointment only.
Laws, such as the Zoning Regulations, architectural review requirements, and Subdivision Regulations, require that people submit applications for project approval to the Community Development Department.
You can now schedule your inspection, view your permits, pay invoices, and view public records online at our portal here or click on the "Apply for a Building Permit" button above. FIRE or DEMO inspections must still be scheduled by phone at (805) 781-7180.
