11 Ιουν 2020 · Vital Capacity Formula. There are two formulae for vital capacity, based on the sex of the subject. In both of the following formula, H represents height in centimeters, while A represents the age of a person in years. Female: Vital Capacity = (21.78 – 0.101a) x h. Male: Vital Capacity = (27.63 – 0.112a) x h
Vital capacity = Inspiratory reserve volume + Tidal volume + Expiratory reserve volume. In short: VC = IRV + TV + ERV. In the light of the above, vital capacity can be defined as the maximum amount of air possible to be expelled after a maximum inhalation.
The lung capacity calculator determines all the respiratory capacities: Vital capacity (VC); Inspiratory capacity (IC); Functional residual capacity (FRC); Total lung capacity (TLC). based on inspiratory, tidal, expiratory reserve and residual volume that have been measured through spirometry.
27 Σεπ 2024 · Vital capacity (VC) represents the total volume of air that can be exhaled after a maximal inhalation. It is a key measurement in respiratory function tests, helping to assess the strength of thoracic muscles and the elasticity of the lungs.
This normal vital capacity calculator provides an alternative way to estimate vital capacity based on gender, age and height when inspiratory, tidal and expiratory volumes can’t be measured.
This normal vital capacity calculator estimates vital capacity based on gender, age and height when inspiratory, tidal and expiratory volumes are not available.
