Entity Search. Entities eligible for the Entity Status Letter include Corporations and Limited Liability Companies. Partnerships are not eligible. Changes to entity names made through the Secretary of State may take up to 30 days to be reflected with FTB.
Occasionally, we will receive a request for written verification for the status of a tax year account as of a certain date. These are commonly referred to as Individual Status Letters (ISL) and may help to obtain a student loan or financing from the California Department of Veterans Affairs.
Read your notice or letter carefully as it contains valuable information. If you agree with your notice or letter, you don't need to contact us. Just follow the instructions on the notice or letter. Respond as outlined on your notice or letter by mail, fax, or online.
Obtain better or more precise search results by including the Entity ID or Entity Name. If the Entity ID is not known, enter as much of the Entity Name as is known.
26 Φεβ 2018 · An Entity Status Letter verifies whether or not an entity is in good standing with the FTB and provides certification for: • Legal status in court proceedings. • An outstanding liability that could have an effect on an entity's credit rating (e.g., the closing of escrow). • Verification of an exempt status.
Entities eligible for the Entity Status Letter include Corporations and Limited Liability Companies. We do not issue Entity Status Letters for Limited Partnerships, Limited Liability Partnerships, or General Partnerships.
