The Academic Performance Index (API) is an annual measure of test score performance of schools and districts. The California Department of Education (CDE) calculates the API and disseminates the results directly to schools and districts. January 01, 0001.
27 Δεκ 2018 · In March 2017, the California SBE and the CDE launched a new accountability system to replace the API. This new, multiple-measures system provides a fuller picture of how districts and schools are addressing the needs of their students while also identifying the specific strengths and areas in need of improvement.

The API Statewide Rank score ranked a school with all schools in California based on API score, while the API Similar Schools score ranked a school with 100 other schools in the state with similar demographic profiles (including parent education level, poverty level, student mobility, student ethnicity).
16 Νοε 2023 · The API can be used to see how well a school did on tests in any given year, as well as to track school progress over time. Each year, parents can review a school’s API number, which shows how well it did relative to the state’s goal of 800, and also check the school’s growth from the previous year.

School performance data is from the California Department of Education, Academic Performance Index. The 1-10 numbers represent the statewide rank of the school, from lowest to highest. On this site, the ranking is the rounded average of the rankings from the last 3 years of API Base reports.
